Bishop John Farris Senter, 52, is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He is married to the former Deniece Eloise Bridges, also of Chicago, Illinois. Bishop Senter has been preaching the gospel since he was fifteen years old and has thirty-eight years of ministry and pastoral experience. He graduated with honors from Cardinal Stritch University and is currently enrolled in post graduate studies in leadership and management.

Bishop Senter is the founder and senior pastor of Faith Walkers Assembly (FWA) in Rockford, IL. He currently administrates 13 ministries, 15 preaching Elders, and a congregation of families throughout the Rockford and surrounding communities. In addition to serving the local church, Bishop Senter is actively involved with the Grace International Fellowship (Milwaukee, WI) - Bishop R.J. Burt, prelate, where he serves on the Bishop's Council, as First Assistant to Bishop Burt, Dean of Christian Education, and State Bishop of Illinois. Bishop Senter celebrated the release of his first book Pastors Married to Preachers in the spring of 2005. His second book News That's Hebrews is scheduled to be released early 2012.

In 2005, Bishop Senter was appointed by the Governor of Illinois to the Illinois African-American Family Commission in Chicago. Additionally, he has served as an Adjunct Professor at Lay Academy Bible College (Dr. L.D. Tate, President) in Rockford, on the Crusader Health Foundation Board, Rockford Renewal Ministries Board, Dinah International Ministries, Inc., and as First Vice-Moderator of Rockford and Vicinity Baptist District Association.
